"Jack Frost is a just a starship pilot trying to earn a living, but when he’s hired to fly the Guardian and its crew of bigwig do-gooders to the edge of the known universe, the job could be more than he bargained for. Throw in vanishing children, stolen goods, bounty hunters, and weird superpowers, and maybe Jack should’ve stayed on his home planet with his sister after all."
This is a Science Fiction AU where Jack (after some interesting events happen that I'm not saying as that would spoil the story) is a 17 year old pilot who takes a job offered by a group of people whose prototype has been stolen. They needed a pilot to fly them to wherever it is. There's lots of unexpected twists and turns to this story. Lots of fun but also lots of sadness. The author is pretty awesome and the story is great.
